Henry Agg is a professional landscape designer, qualified horticulturalist and former chef based in East Sussex, where he lives with his wife and three children. Henry has amassed an impressive social media following with his content focusing on his passion for horticulture and mental health and the benefits of the great outdoors.
Henry is a highly knowledgeable, authentic and charismatic content creator. He communicates his passion for the power of green therapy in all his work, following a decision to leave the rat race of corporate life and is an inspiration to his followers. He says “I am constantly amazed by the power of green therapy, just 20 minutes a day in nature or completing routine gardening tasks does wonders for your mental wellbeing, so get out in your gardens my friends – it will change you”.
He studied horticulture at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh and trained in garden design at The English Gardening School. Henry is an active participant in some of the UK’s most prestigious flower shows, including the Chelsea Flower Show and Hampton Court.
Henry began his social media journey 4–5 years ago and has grown a loyal and engaged following of over half a million followers on Instagram (@henryagg). He is a devoted advocate for the restorative benefits of gardening on mental wellbeing, using his Instagram platform to share this message with his followers and encouraging them to find peace and healing in nature.
Henry has featured as an expert on BBC Gardeners’ World, ITV’s Love Your Weekend and Alan Titchmarsh's Gardening Club, and in publications such as Gardeners’ World Magazine and Gardens Illustrated. Henry was honoured to be named one of Garden Illustrated ‘20 Horticultural Heroes’ for his work with Mind Charity in 2024, a testament to his dedication to promoting mental health through the power of gardening
In 2023, Henry launched his landscape design business which quickly established an outstanding reputation, working with high-end clients in London and the South East to create bespoke and luxury gardens.
Alongside his design work, he has delivered planting design masterclasses at Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons and, due to its huge success, was invited back for an additional masterclass. In 2026, Henry will release his first book.
