As a talent management agency, we find our clients paid media work such as TV appearances, publishing deals, social media campaigns, keynote talks, brand endorsements and live demonstrations.
DML Talent specialises in three main areas: television, books and social media. Our talent agents have built up excellent contacts within these industries, based on years of successful partnerships and effective networking. We work towards building our clients’ platforms through high-quality, carefully curated exposure and we’re always on hand to support our clients every step of the way.
During over two decades of business, DML Talent has managed some of the biggest names in media. We represent presenters, experts and influencers in a wide range of genres, including food, gardening, DIY, fashion, health, science and design. We pride ourselves in finding the right opportunities to best showcase our clients’ expertise – whether that’s social media branded partnerships, TV appearances, writing their first (or their tenth!) bestselling book or a prestigious keynote talk.
DML Talent has also worked with an extensive variety of high-profile brand partners, including Waitrose, Panasonic, British Airways, Holland and Barrett, The Chelsea Flower Show and IKEA. Our clients have appeared on TV shows that are both household names and winners of numerous awards, such as Strictly Come Dancing, Great British Menu, DIY SOS, Countryfile, This Morning, The Great British Bake Off and Saturday Kitchen.
When Borra Garson founded DML Talent, she left behind a huge talent agency with hundreds of clients in order to start something more boutique. She began with just a small list of clients, including the late great celebrity chef and TV personality Gary Rhodes. Borra wanted to offer a more hands-on, personal management style, where she could bring a bespoke service to each client, a style of representation that is still followed today.
Today, DML Talent’s strategy of long-term thinking is the key to their success. Thanks to the carefully curated talent list, the team is able to offer more care, research, strategy and support than many celebrity agents. And most importantly, DML are proactive in working towards longevity for their clients’ media careers.
In an ever-changing media industry, DML are always looking for new ways to diversify. They have their finger on the pulse of new social media platforms, streaming services, and publishing trends, and are able to adapt with a progressive approach.
Borra solidified her reputation as a talent manager in the world of celebrity chefs quite early on in her career – some of her first clients included Gary Rhodes, Paul Hollywood and Jamie Oliver – celebrity chefs that UK households are all familiar with. Borra leads DML’s publishing arm as well as their celebrity chef catering initiative and continues to work with numerous famous chefs and Michelin star holders including Ollie Dabbous, Jack Stein, Cherish Finden and Tom Kerridge.
Jan has worked as a talent manager for over 25 years and has been the driving force behind some of the UK’s most high profile on screen talent. She has an impressive track record of finding and creating stars and has managed talent such as Davina McCall, Vernon Kay and Dermot O’Leary. She currently works across TV and digital with both established and new artists.
Lou has over 14 years’ experience in the talent industry, her specialisms include working with fresh social media talent to grow their media work both online and in print. Alongside Borra, Lou oversees the publishing arm at DML, working closely with authors and aspiring writers, assisting with the creative process from pitch, through to publication and beyond.
Megan joined DML in 2019 and quickly became a vital member of the team. She is an expert in discovering and nurturing social media creators and helping them expand their careers into other forms of media. Megan is exceptional at strategy, market research and supporting our talent across brand endorsements, catering work, public speaking, podcasts, TV and more.
